The Best 10 Buffets at Disney World

The Best 10 Buffets at Disney World

Walt Disney World offers a wide selection of buffets for breakfast, lunch and diners. What’s not to like about buffets? From character dinners to quieter meals, there’s a buffet dining experience to suit nearly any visitor. They offer unlimited food, a dazzling array of choices, and even allow you to sample dessert before your main course. Dining options at Walt Disney World vary immensely from food carts, counter-service restaurants, all the way up to more formal dining options, but the best option are buffets! Every buffet has something a little different, but the following is our list of the top 10 buffets on Disney property.

1 – Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue (Fort Wilderness)

While this is a dinner show, the wait staff at Pioneer Hall serves some truly delicious food. Guests are treated to salad and skillet cornbread to start. For the main course, diners can choose between finger-licking good pork ribs and fried chicken. You best save room for dessert, a wonderful, scrumptious strawberry shortcake!

2 – 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)

1900 Park Fare offers breakfast and dinner and invites Disney characters to join the fun. At breakfast, Alice, the Mad Hatter, and Mary Poppins greet guests between trips to the buffet for pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, and even gummy bears! At dinner, Cinderella and Prince Charming join guests while enjoying masterful crafted meats and delicious sides. Kids can also enjoy a fun taco bar, too!

3 – Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom)

A classic choice for Disney enthusiasts, Crystal Palace is a popular choice for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Guests are invited to enjoy their food alongside Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet. I prefer the dinner options at Crystal Palace, as breakfast is similar to the options offered elsewhere. It also has the added benefit of having a good view of Wishes and Celebrate the Magic if you are lucky enough to snag a window seat!

4 – Tusker House (Animal Kingdom)

5 – Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge)

Based on my personal sampling of these buffets, I feel that Boma has the biggest selection of food for guests to choose from, not only in quantity, but also in quality. Boma offers guests traditional foods, but also introduces them to the flavors of Africa in wonderful selections. I’ve only had the opportunity to have breakfast here, but they also offer dinner and the selections at dinner look truly appetizing!

6 – Hollywood and Vine (Hollywood Studios)

Hollywood and Vine features characters from the Disney Junior line-up and currently includes Doc McStuffins, Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and Queen Sofia. Hollywood and Vine offers up food and fun for all three meals a day, but my favorite to have here is breakfast – they offer some truly inventive creations in breakfast frittatas and a breakfast potato casserole. Guests having early reservations can also gain access to the park before opening to explore Hollywood Boulevard and Echo Park before they are overrun with crowds!

7 – Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom)

Similar to the Garden Grill, Liberty Tree offers diners an all-you-care-to-eat meal featuring classics that make you feel like you’re eating at Thanksgiving dinner. The platter includes turkey, pork, and beef, along with sides of stuffing, macaroni and cheese, vegetables, and potatoes. Dessert is also included and is a wonderful cranberry-apple cake! If you are dining at Liberty Tree later in the evening, guests can also catch views of the Main Street Parade as it weaves through Liberty Square.

8 – Cape May Café (Beach Club Resort)

Cape May offers two very diverse buffet options for guests to enjoy. Breakfast offers classic options of waffles, eggs, bacon, fruit, and cereal. The dinner option is far more varied in its taste in offering a variety of seafood options like clams, shrimp, crab legs, and mussels and a wonderful selection of side dishes. Disney characters are a part of the fun at Cape May, but only join diners at breakfast.

9 – Chef Mickey’s (Contemporary Resort)

One of the many dining options located at the Contemporary Resort is this classic American buffet serving ribs, chicken, fish among many other wonderful choices. Chef Mickey’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also features Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald. While the menu is diverse, Chef Mickey’s is an expensive choice amongst the buffets on this list.

IMG_4202-010 – Garden Grill (Epcot)

While not technically a buffet, the Garden Grill offers all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style food. Guests will be served unlimited servings of salad and rolls with delicious salted honey butter. For the main course, guests will be treated to fish, beef, and turkey, in addition to delectable sides of macaroni and cheese, stuffing, and seasonal vegetables. For dessert, the Garden Grill offers a wonderful fresh fruit cobbler. If all of this food isn’t enough to satisfy you, the Garden Grill also plays host to Chip and Dale, Pluto, and Mickey Mouse!
