Disney Sneak Peak New Happily Ever After Fireworks Show

Walt Disney World is set to retire “Wishes” and bring “Happily Ever After” to the Magic Kingdom with the latest technological bells and whistles as well as a motivational new song.

The Disney Parks Blog released a video showing what visitors to the park can expect to see and hear when the show debuts May 12.

Projection testing along with fireworks and lasers have been ongoing in the wee hours of the park while the music featuring singers Angie Keilhauer and Jordan Fisher with a full orchestra and 90-voice gospel choir is set to accompany the visually stunning show. The show that replaces “Wishes” after its more-than-13-year run promises to use the most advanced projection technology Disney can muster with scenes from Disney and Pixar films cast upon Cinderella Castle.

“’Happily Ever After’ is unlike any castle show you have ever seen,” said Stormie Dorrell.

The end result as seen in projection tests is a high-resolution display on the castle with characters from films including “Frozen,” “Finding Dory,” “Moana,” “Zootopia,” “Tangled,” “Snow White,” “The Little Mermaid,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Up,” “Toy Story,” “Sleeping Beaut,” “Pocahontas,” “Hunchback of Notre Dame” and “Aladdin.” Also, Tinker Bell will continue to make her notable flight across the sky.

The accompanying song has a message of self-empowerment, choices, and dreams.
