A Walt Disney World Vacation can be quite costly, but there are many ways to cut a lot of the extra spending, and finding a place to get a good but cheap meal is a great way to save some bucks. But don’t let these cheap prices fool you because these tasty eats are rich in taste! I have listed 14 of the best places to grab a quick, inexpensive meal. 

1. Hollywood Studios/Anaheim Produce

Located on Sunset Blvd. at Hollywood Studios, this cart offers a quick and easy midday meal. Grab hold of an on-the-go energy boost at this healthy cart featuring a fast and refreshing assortment of snacks and treats, including fresh fruit and veggies, Mickey pretzels with zesty cheese sauce, frozen lemonades, margaritas and more. You can make a cheap meal out of a pretzel with cheese and a fruit cup, or other combos. It’s fun to improvise and have a quick healthy meal.

2. Magic Kingdom/Fantasyland/Dumbo’s Storybook Circus—Hot Dog Cart

How about a quick meal at Dumbo’s Storybook Circus. Find a place to sit and enjoy a delicious hot dog, chips, and a beverage. It’s quick and its cheap, mere peanuts!

3. Downtown Disney/Wetzel’s Pretzels

Who doesn’t like a hot, delicious pretzel, and here at Wetzel’s Pretzels, you can enjoy original pretzels, sour cream & onion, baked cheese pretzels, or Wetzel Bitz, bite sized pretzels. You can choose different dips: cheddar cheese, jalapeno cheese, pizza sauce, or sweet caramel. Add a cup of freshly squeezed lemonade, and you have a good cheap meal.

4. Animal Kingdom/Dino-land/Dino-Bite Snacks

If you get to Animal Kingdom early, you might want to stop by this dino-themed diner for a quick breakfast. The only food menu items are a hot breakfast wrap with eggs, sausage, spinach and goat cheese, an apple, cherry, or cheese Danish, assorted muffins, and churros. Add a cool beverage, find a place to sit, and quell your hunger pains before you continue your pre-historic adventure.

5. Magic Kingdom/Adventureland—Egg Roll Cart

If you’re in Adventureland and you’re ready for a quick and cheap meal, find the Egg Roll Cart. Even though it says Egg Roll Cart, they also offer a corn dog, cheeseburger spring rolls, vegetable egg rolls, chips, chocolate chip cookies, and assorted beverages. Yes, you can eat good food, easy to eat when you’re dashing through the park and not spend a lot of money.

6. Epcot/World Showcase/Promenade Refreshments

As you enter the World Showcase heading west, prior to the Canada Pavilion, stop by Promenade Refreshments for an inexpensive meal, a hot dog or chili hot dog; both come with chips. Add a cool beverage, find a good place to sit, and enjoy! It’s quick, cheap, and just right before you begin your tour.

7. Epcot/World Showcase/England/Yorkshire County Fish Shop

So if you weren’t really in the mood for a hot dog, walk on around to England and enjoy the best fish & chips, imported beers, ciders and soft drinks. The meal here costs a little more than other counter service meals, but it is so worth it. It is more filling and you won’t want another meal anytime soon. 

8. Epcot/World Showcase/Japan/Kabuki Café

If fish & chips, or a hot dog does not sound appetizing, how about some fresh Asian and Japanese Sushi. Enjoy the refined yet refreshing Japanese favorites of otsumami-style sushi, edamame, kakigōri, assorted Japanese sodas & beer, plum wine and hot or cold sake.

They also offer ice cream, hot or cold Sake, and other assorted beverages. It’s not a full meal, but its cheap and it will keep you going for a while.

9. Downtown Disney/Earl of Sandwich

This most excellent quick service restaurant is available for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. From bacon, ham and egg sandwiches, muffins, fruit cup for breakfast, or for lunch or dinner, the menu is full of hot delicious sandwiches. Try the Earl’s Club, Holiday Turkey, Hawaiian BBQ, soups, usalads, or wraps, and very reasonably priced. If you want to take a break from the Parks for lunch or dinner, this would be a great place to relax and enjoy an outstanding, filling sandwich.

10. Magic Kingdom/Frontierland/Golden Oak Outpost

This small inconspicuous old-West style brick building is located just before you enter Adventureland. The menu is quite unique, offering specialty waffle fries (BLT, Brown gravy & cheese, BBQ pork, Tex-Mex), Sweet Potato Nuggets, chocolate chip cookies and assorted beverages. The prices are low, the fries are quite filling, and this makes a great place to get a delicious midday or evening meal.

11. Magic Kingdom/Fantasyland/Gaston’s Tavern

Gaston’s Tavern is located near the Enchanted Tales With Belle attraction, and is an excellent place to get a quick, cheap breakfast or midday lunch. There is inside and outside seating, and the menu consists of luscious warm cinnamon buns, chocolate croissants, sliced apples with caramel sauce, mixed fruit or vegetable cups with dip, hummus and chips, a hot juicy pork shank, and assorted beverages. The pork shank is a bit pricy, but it’s large enough to share, and when you add a vegetable or fruit cup, you’ve got a delicious, inexpensive meal.

12. Hollywood Studios/Rosie’s All American Diner

As you make your way to the Tower of Terror or Rockin’ Roller Coaster, you will pass by this large outdoor dining area totally covered with umbrellas at every table, and there is always plenty of seating. The menu is reasonable with choices of burgers, fries, soup of the day, chicken nuggets, vegetarian burgers, and assorted beverages.

13. Magic Kingdom/Liberty Square/Liberty Square Market

This open air fruit and sandwich stand has more to offer than you can see by just walking by. On the menu are items such as fresh fruit, chips, a pineapple cup, hot ham and cheddar sandwich, hot roast beef and Swiss sandwich, baked potato, baked sweet potato, and my favorite; hot roasted corn on the cob, which is indescribably delicious, and, of course, plenty of beverages to choose from. Hands down, we think that Liberty Square Market is one of the best places in the Magic Kingdom to get a unique, filling, and possibly even healthy snack!

14. Magic Kingdom/Main Street—Casey’s Corner

Located right at the end of Main Street next to the Castle Hub area, is Casey’s Corner, a very popular counter service restaurant, which has been a mainstay of Walt Disney World since in opened in 1971. There is limited indoor seating, and an abundance of outdoor tables covered with umbrellas to keep the sun out. The menu is filled with delectable choices such as: hot dogs, chili cheese dogs, corn dogs, corn dog nuggets, French fries, apple slices, brownies, and assorted beverages. If you’re trying to save money, order the corn dog nuggets and fries. They are cheaper than the other items on the menu, and they are cooked to perfection, crunchy on the outside and warm and juicy on the inside, yummy for your tummy!

Bonus Tip

 Another way to save money is to order water with your meal. A cup of water is free. Also on the combo meals, you can ask them to omit the fries or side item, and the price will be reduced. Ordering a kid’s meal is another way to save. You don’t really need a big meal during the middle of the day anyway. Also, you can bring an acceptable sized cooler with drinks (no glass containers), sandwiches, snacks, etc. to any of the Parks. You can find a table at any outdoor seating area, and save the price of at least one meal per day. Another option, if you are staying at a Disney Resort, is to return to your resort and eat lunch in your room, assuming you have brought with you snack items (bread, peanut butter and jelly, etc.), or you can order a whole pizza and have it delivered to your room. There are lots of ways to save money on dining. Just be a little creative, and take advantage of some of the tips I have listed.
